Edwards Elementary Academy

Thanks to the support of the Youth Foundation our school is able to offer fun and enriching opportunities for students after school through the Edwards Elementary Academy and Homework Club.

The Youth Foundation’s after-school program aims to provide care and education for elementary and middle school children while promoting skills for a lifetime. Fun, education and values such as respect, honesty, perseverance and confidence blend together in a unique program that reflects the diversity of the community in which we live. Students are challenged to improve their literacy and academic work during weekly tutoring sessions, while also having time to stretch their imagination through enrichment such as, building igloos, designing t-shirts, attempting a ropes course, knitting a sweater, learning how to cook, playing the violin, learning yoga, catching a fish, making a golf club, or sharing their gifts with the community by participating in a variety of service learning projects.
