The gifted and talented program in Eagle County is called the EAGLE program. At the elementary level, EAGLE is a site-based program. For the eastern end of the valley, the program is housed at Meadow Mountain Elementary School.  All children who qualify go to MMES one day a week, to join other gifted children in the valley. These groups are age specific.  Students are tested at the end of 2^nd grade. Children who test in the 98^th% and are identified by both teachers and parents, qualify to start the EAGLE program at the beginning of 3^rd grade.
