PTA Information
The focus of the Edwards Elementary School PTA is to provide support and enrichment to all teachers, staff, children and families at our school. At the beginning of the year, we all work hard on the annual fundraiser, Wild West Day. WWD is a fun-filled family event in September, which is held at 4 Eagle Ranch. This event funds the majority (over 80%) of our PTA budget. This year we raised about $20,000! Throughout the year PTA parents volunteer by helping with lunch and recess duties, library support, classroom help, teacher appreciation and special projects such as the Reflections art program; the Holiday Giving Tree, Sunshine Math, healthy snacks program, special assemblies, field trips, family events and more.
PTA is also responsible for purchasing many school necessities such as classroom books and supplies, playground and PE equipment, art and music supplies, library resources and much more.
We are very fortunate to have bi-cultural/bi-lingual PTA representation at our school and meetings. Our PTA meetings take place the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM in the school library. Childcare is provided for children over 4.
We encourage families and teachers to join PTA to help EES build a strong school community, to learn about what’s going on at EES, make new friends and to be a bigger part of our students’ education. PTA Membership costs $6.00 and checks can be made payable to EES PTA. Feel free to contact any of our PTA Board Members listed below if you have questions or would like more information!
