by Web Admin last modified December 18, 2007 01:51 PM

Colorado requires all schools to have School Advisory Accountability Committees, SAAC. School accountability committees shall serve the purpose and functions stated in law for both the school advisory council and the school accountability committee. The EES SAAC meets 4 times a year. It has formulated building goals and objectives. This year’s focus is on Math, parent education on standardized tests and the interpretation of scores and substance abuse awareness. SAAC also makes recommendations on school safety, the school budget and the reporting of educational performance.  The EES accountability committee is made up of the following people: the principal, one teacher and one parent representative from each grade level. The committee is formed at the beginning of the school year and those parents interested in serving on the committee should contact the EES principal, Heidi Hanssen.
